Speaker

A couple of times a year I am happy to speak on topics that I am passionate about i.e. Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Past speeches to groups of 10 -> 2,000 include; a Framework for Business Model Innovation, The Essence of Practical Entrepreneurship, Networking for CIO’s, Marketing with Social Media, Open Source Masterclass, the Future of Crime & Dealing with Business Failure. I have spoken at AIMIA events, MEGA, Smartcompany and Victoria’s Energise Enterprise as well as at a variety of in house gigs. Mentor

I normally mentor only 2 people per year, one of which normally comes from the Monash MBA stream and one technology entrepreneur. Mentoring means that I am happy to meet you 4 times a year, for one year and take a phone call a month. My advice has traditionally been around finding work life balance (for the MBA students) and on building successful technology start-ups. I don’t charge for this, but will only work with only two people a year. Sponsored Business Development Services

Once or twice a year I will assist a not-for-profit group that works in the areas of technology, innovation or entrepreneurship. My services are effectively a free, light weight version of the Outsourced Business Development services highlighted below, generating new relationships to assist organisations such as AGSE Friends and Community Connected Hacker Space. If you are a not-for-profit group that is interested in getting me involved with your organisation for a year, email me in November so we can get started in January.

Outsourced Business Development Services

Through Flinders Pacific, I provide outsourced “Rainmaker” type services to organisations that need to generate new relationships with people at senior levels, build memberships or pipelines. My clients are normally professional services firms, scientific research groups or Foreign Governments. For instance I am the sole representative of the City of London in Australia for Foreign Direct Investment.
