Social Networking

Although I heavily use Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn I tend to have some general rules around the way I use them.

	I use facebook to share photo’s of my children and our adventures, therefore my focus is on connecting with my friends. Please don’t be offended if you know me through my work, but I don’t want to connect on facebook with you.
	With LinkedIn, I tend to only connect with people I have actually met or conversed with. It makes my network real to me and not just a number in a database.
	With Twitter, I will follow anyone (but not spammers, mindless marketers, or the porn industry) who follows me, but I tend to prune regularly to a feed that I personally find engaging.
